This week at AOFC it was all about pumpkins! We had a super fun pumpkin hop on the playground and then each classroom got their very own pumpkin to explore including cutting off the top and feeling the inside!! Our infants even got in on the pumpkin action with special sensory bags that contained seeds and the gooey, stringy part of the pumpkin which they loved feeling, squishing and trying to eat!! The kids also learned that the seeds can be used to grow new pumpkins and that they can even be roasted so that they can be eaten!
Checking out the seeds inside a pumpkin!
Using his hands to feel the inside!

Never too young for pumpkin exploration!
