Mother Goose Pumpkin Show

AoFC kicked off the start of fall by having Mother Goose come do her pumpkin show! Our friends had so much fun singing silly songs and dancing. Mother Goose talked about how to brush our teeth to not have silly monster breath. She taught our friends about nocturnal animals and how they like to sleep during the day and are awake at night.

Mother Goose starting out by singing a welcome song and getting all of our friends
 clapping their hands

Mother Goose is talking to our friends about how it is now fall and all the fun things they will be talking about for the show!

She is using finger puppets to talk about Nocturnal animals and explains how they sleep during the daytime and are awake at night. How silly!

Our friends are helping act out how to be a cat during her black cat song

All of our friends are watching Mother Goose to see what song she will sing next!

Mother Goose talked about different emotions using pictures of pumpkins.
This was sad pumpkin :(

She ended the show doing a Skeleton song and dance!

Spotlight Educator!

Happy September y'all! I cannot believe that we are about to enter in to the best month of the year, October! This year we decided that we wanted to come up with a way to truly honor some of our educators that consistently go above and beyond. We came together and created what is now called "Spotlight Educator!" This educator is one of those people that anyone can go to at any time. She has the biggest heart, she is a wonderful listener, and show compassion and kindness towards every single person she meets. This quarter, our Spotlight Educator is Mrs. Katherine! We could not be more proud to have Katherine as our very first SE. She is the absolute best when it comes to teaching. Mrs. Katherine is our Preschool Three lead educator, and has been with us for just over two years. PS3 is so very lucky to have Mrs. Katherine. Our educators were asked to give us some reasons as to why the love Mrs. Katherine, and how she inspires them in different ways. Every educator spoke so highly of Katherine. They told us about how kind she is. We had a few of our new staff members mention that they could go to Mrs. Katherine with what some may consider a "silly" question, and she will answer the question with kindness! Mrs. Katherine truly empowers other educators here at AOFC. She never misses or calls out of work, her dedication to her job is powerful, and you will never find her without a huge smile on her face. These littles and their parents are always telling us how much they love Katherine, and how thankful they are to have her teaching their kiddos. We love Mrs. Katherine so much, and we are the L U C K I E S T to have her!

Our wonderful Spotlight Educator gets her own wall!

Seriously!?

Always smiling!

Expressing our emotions!

We love our girl!

Truly one of the funniest humans alive.

Matching!

The sweetest group!

Our wonderful Spotlight Educator :)

They love when Mrs. Katherine reads to them!

Below is a further explanation of what a Spotlight Educator looks like, and all of the special things that they will get to do and receive :)

In order for one of our Educators to receive this honor they must be employed with us for at least one year, have consistent positive feedback from our families and exemplary parent/child relationships, they are always willing to go above and beyond to help their fellow Educators, and are a promoter of positive staff morale.
This quarter we are honoring, Ms. Katherine, our Preschool 3 Lead Educator! Ms. Katherine is an inspiration to me because she brings a contagious, happy vibe to our work place. I admire her because she is always supporting other Educators and offering a hand, even if she has a lot to accomplish herself. Ms. Katherine always takes initiative to get tasks completed outside of her classroom and offers so much support for our newer Educators. I often use Ms. Katherine's routine/classroom as an example when training new Educators. Our program is lucky to have her as a part of our family:) We are so proud of you, Ms. Katherine!
Spotlight Educator Benefits:
- $100 Cash
-$50 Gift Card to the Educators Favorite Lunch Spot

Grandparent's Day 2019

What is better than the love between a grandchild and their grandparents!? I absolutely love getting to witness the bond that forms between grands and their littles, and seeing how much excitement grandparents bring to their grandchildren. Seeing kiddos with their grandparents is one of the cutest things and sweetest things I have ever seen! We just held our second annual Grandparent's Day breakfast at the school and it was such a huge hit. We had grandparents come in from different states, cities, and towns to have a special day with their loved ones! Our school was decorated from head to toe with pictures of our children with their grandparents. The grand’s loved getting to see these pictures and we wish we could just keep them up forever! These sweet kiddos get so excited to share their school with their grandparents when they come in and talk with them about their friends, teachers, artwork, and fun activities they get to partake in on a daily basis. It is the sweetest to hear them introducing their friends to grandma and grandpa :) This year we had a huge turnout! The whole enrichment room was filled with the sweetest grandparents that were eating up every second of this! We had pancakes and pastries, fruit bar, sweets, and lots and lots of coffee! We set up different stations for crafting as well! The kiddos loved making sweet picture frames and other crafts for their grandparents. We love getting to put on events to bring our families together and spend quality time with one another. Our teachers worked very hard with their kiddos to create a special crafts for each set of grandparents, and the children were SO excited to hand these out on Grandparent's Day! We are so grateful to everyone who came out and got to enjoy these special extra moments with their loved ones. We had a blast and we are already planning and looking forward to this day next year!

This family has been with us since the beginning! We love when we get to see grandparents :)

Grandpa and one of his grands!

This sweet girl gets lovin' from her grandma all of the time and we love it!

 Those smiles!

 How sweet is this!?

The smiles say it all :)

He couldn't wait to show his grandparents his school!

 Gang's all here!

So much love going on in here!

Grandpa's.... they have to be the fun ones don't they!?

Superhero

I cannot believe that this was the last week of our summer program! Time has been flying by so quickly this year and the fact that we are about to enter into our fall season is just crazy to me! This past week was probably the most anticipated week of the whole summer. The week that the kiddos look forward to every single year. Last week was superhero week!! We love this week so much because all of our kiddos are so in to superhero's, and watching the joy on their faces while getting to do superhero crafts and read all about the different superhero's is the sweetest thing ever. We started our week out with a special grab n' go snack that everyone really got pumped about! We used dum dum lollipops and cut out little capes to place on them. We turned them into SUPER SUCKER'S! They turned out so cute and the kids were super excited to pick out which superhero was their favorite! We also had a dress up day where the kiddos got to dress up as their favorite superhero! We love this day and of course our sweet babes absolutely do too! We had SO many of our friends participate in this. It is the sweetest to see them all having so much fun pretending to play the actual part of the superhero! The best part of the week was hands down our visit from spiderman himself! Our Prek kiddos lost their minds when he walked in the door. Spiderman gave out lots of hugs and high fives and the older friends were just living their best life. Our smaller friends were slightly apprehensive when they saw the masked man, but after lots of convincing, they too grew to love him! We had so much fun this past week, and with our summer in general. We are so very grateful that we get to do all of these fun things for our babies. We love our school family so very much.

 Cannot handle the cuteness!

I love seeing how brave he was!

 PreK Two LOVED Spiderman!

He was nervous at first...then gave the best hug :)

 Y'all!! How sweet is he!?

The man himself!

 This boy....he was SOOOO excited!

 Hugs for spidey!

 That smile says it all!

Who you lookin' at!
