Farm animal day at AOFC

AOFC had some very special visitors come see us on Tuesday and everyone was so excited to see them! It was Farm animal day and there were goats, a donkey, an alpaca, a zebra cow and last but not least a bunny named Snowball! Everyone got to visit and say hello from behind the fence and watch the animals get fed which was also very exciting! It was clear the kids loved seeing the animals and I am pretty sure they felt the same way!!

Loving the goats!

Outdoor Enhancements at AOFC

At the Academy of Forrest Crossing our playgrounds needed a bit more excitement so we added some awesome new additions . We added two Cozy Coupes to both the the toddler and infant playgrounds as well as an outdoor easel and some new riding toys! The pre k/ preschool playground got two outdoor easels, a twig castle, new bikes and the best thing of all, four basketball hoops that are all different sizes! The kids have had so much fun exploring all this new equipment as well as doing the usual running, jumping and sliding with their friends.

Peek a boo from our new twig castle!

I love this new cozy coupe!

Shiny new bikes for the big kids

Scoring lots of baskets

Coloring outside is always so much better with friends

AOFC's Spotlight Winner Ms. Yolanda

We are thrilled to announce this quarter’s Spotlight Educator Award! Each quarter, a special Educator will be selected to represent our program that has displayed a consistent level of excellence.

In order for one of our Educators to receive this honor, they must be employed with us for at least one year, have consistent positive feedback from our families and exemplary parent/child relationships, they are always willing to go above and beyond to help their fellow Educators, and are a promoter of positive staff morale.

This quarter we are honoring, Ms. Yolanda, our Preschool 1 Co-Educator! Having Ms. Yolanda as a part of our AOFC Family makes a huge difference. She embodies the definition of being a team player, which has a direct effect on strengthening our work culture. This major contribution does not go unnoticed 😊 I am constantly amazed and inspired how she overcomes any obstacle that is thrown her way. Her determination, impeccable organization and work ethic really speaks for itself. We appreciate everything Ms. Yolanda does to help us provide an excellent program and quality care and education to our children and their families.
