MUD DAY!

Y'all, whats more fun than getting to get super dirty by playing in the mud? Especially when you're actually ALLOWED to!? Every year we get tons of soil and lots of spoons, measuring cups, shovels, and toys, and we grab the hose to make mud. This is one of the most exciting days of the year for the kiddos. Mud day gives the kiddos the opportunity to experience different sensory play. They love feeling the mud between their fingers, rolling it up into little mud balls, and of course... smearing it all over their faces! The older kids loved making "mud pies" while the younger ones had fun just using the shovels to dig. Our teachers hid little objects within the mud so that the children could dig for them! Playing in mud helps the children to really experience nature. Mud day really encourages the kids to use their imagination and get super creative. Do you remember being a child and how much joy the mud brought to you? The best part of the kiddos playing in mud is truly the memories created. Our kiddos end up talking about this day for a long time. It may be the messiest day of the year, but you can't deny that it's the sweetest thing to see the look of pure joy in these kiddos eyes. Mud Day 2019... you were golden. Here's to next year and endless amounts of mud!

Look how adorable! Seriously, how could you not love a cute, muddy, sweet little toddler!?

Two spoons! One for each hand.

The toddler classes LOVED the mud!

 Don't worry, it washes off!

PreK Prom: Come One, Come All!

This past Friday we hosted our PreK Prom for all of our kiddos that are heading off to kindergarten next year. Our theme this year was "The Greatest Show On Earth!" This was SUCH a fun theme to work with. We absolutely loved getting the school decorated and prepped for the night of fun. We had white and red streamers throughout the building, lots of 3D hanging objects, carnival games, a tattoo station and so much more. We also had a blast picking out different "circus" foods to make. We ended up cooking corn dogs, which were a huge hit and success. We also served warm soft pretzels with cheese sauce, white cheddar popcorn, Each kiddo and their siblings were able to take home their own swag bag which was filled with lollipops, animal crackers, sunglasses, bubbles, and more! Perhaps the best part of the night was the DJ and our wonderful balloon artist, Daisy. This was our second time having Daisy The Clown at one of our school functions and it most definitely won't be the last. Who doesn't love a good balloon animal!? We had cotton candy for everyone to take home which was another huge hit. Anyways, the kiddos had a blast dancing the night away and showing off their sweet moves! We also had a blast getting to witness it all! We can't wait to start planning next year's prom already!
The stage was decorated with red and white streamers and it looked SO good!

One of our incredibly talented teachers drew this elephant!

She also drew this amazing clown!

and of course, we had to have a lion jumping through a hoop!

look how cute this "concessions" area was!

We loved how cute these popcorn bags were, and they just scream circus!

You have to have animal crackers with a circus theme!

Mother's Day 2019

This past Friday we held our annual Mother's Day Tea and wow, what a turn out we had! This was truly such a wonderful way to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible Moms out there. This year our moms were able to enjoy lots of different sweet treats. We had ham & cheese sandwiches, turkey & cheese sandwiches, freshly baked scones, freshly baked cranberry orange muffins, delicious strawberry shortcake, and yummy tea! Our kiddos loved being able to do different crafts with their moms. We had a bracelet making station along with a card decorating station. Another fun activity we had was having one of our awesome mama's bring in tons of Matilda Jane clothing for everyone to shop from! This was so much fun. We loved seeing all of our moms doing sweet crafts and enjoying all of the delicious food with their littles. To all of the moms out there, THANK YOU! We sure do appreciate all you do for us!

Classroom Feature: Ps1

Well y'all, the dynamic duo is back together again. Ms. Victoria and Ms. Sara both worked together in Toddler Three about a year ago, and they have come back to work together now in Preschool One! These two make the PERFECT team. They are constantly working together to make the classroom run as smoothly as possible, as well as encouraging and lifting one another up. Ms. Victoria and Ms. Sara love having routine and structure in their classroom. At this age, both of those things are incredibly important to the kiddos as they can help with their time management as well as strengthen relationships. They're incredibly good at encouraging the kiddos to step outside of their comfort zones and learn new things. Ms. Victoria is excellent at working with these younger two year olds at potty training, as well as giving helpful tips and tricks to the parents! The two of these teachers together are a force to be reckoned with, and there is something that we can all learn from them. We appreciate Ms. Sara and Ms. Victoria more than words can say!
These two....two peas in a pod I tell ya!

Some of our friends getting nice and comfortable during their morning circle time!

It is truly a treat getting to watch Ms. Victoria in action. These kiddos just love their morning songs! Here they are going around in a circle greeting one another through music!

Who can count to 10!? These kiddos can!

Sweet friend! He paused his cleaning up to say a super sweet "cheese" for me!
The Three Amigos right here!

This is such a wonderful way to get the kiddos engaged in different things. Ms. Sara and Ms. Victoria hand out "stars" to the kiddos for completing different tasks such as cleaning, going potty, being kind, and being great listeners!

Cleaning up all of her toys to get ready for circle time!

Just some light reading to start the morning off right!

Don't you just love watching little friendships form?

The sun is shining and the smiles are bright!
