Vision Screenings

The Tennessee Lions Eye Center, with the help of Lions Club members across the state have an Outreach Program that provides free vision screening to identify children with eye problems. The volunteers are trained at Children's Hospital to screen your child (age on through five) for vision problems. These volunteers will then come to your local facility to conduct the free screen. The results are evaluated and then returned to the screening location. If your child is referred with a potential vision problem, you will receive a parent to-do list and a list of eye care professionals in your area who are familiar with the Outreach Program and are able to evaluate your child. The entire process noninvasive and is usually completed within 60 seconds or less.

Not to worry if one of our kiddos is feeling a little weary one of their teachers can sit with them!

Smileys! The kids look at the smiley face for a few seconds and all done!

We were so excited to get our eyes checked! And look at our cool stickers!

On our way to get our eyes checked! How cute are we?

All done and ready for a sticker! Thank you!

Completely noninvasive, just a quick point at their eyes and then all done!

This guy was super excited and so ready to get his eyes checked!

Cheeessseee! Good to go and sticker seal of approval!
