Egg-Cited for Easter!!!

Easter at AoFC was filled with fun and egg-citement! It's always such a joy to watch the kids faces light up with smiles. The hunt was on to see who would collect the most Easter Eggs, while some of our kids were just ready to crack open their eggs to see what treasure awaited them. Our enrichment room party was in full force as everyone enjoyed all the activities including Easter coloring pages, egg collages, photo booth and of course everyone's favorite...FOOD! Peeps on a stick were a huge hit, we also enjoyed eggs in the dirt pudding cups, and for a healthy option bunny bait (carrot sticks & ranch). Can you say Yummy? We hope all of our peeps have a hoppy Easter!

Green Our Scene

It’s never too early to get kids on the path toward sustainable living. Children at just about any age can learn about the importance of recycling and participate in family recycling efforts. Here at the Academy we do a theme on "Green Our Scene" where we teach the children about recycling and how it helps everyone around the world. They love learning about reduce, reuse, & recycling. Below is some helpful information about recycling!

A list of all the items you can recycle at home as a family!

Hey we use some of these items everyday, and now we can recycle them!

When we recycle it helps the whole wide world! Can you believe that?

We can also recycle material for super fun crafts! Check out this boat with sails made out of recycled materials!

Turning old materials into quick and fun games can be so easy! That's called reusing!

We can even recycle old crayons to bring to life some colorful new are projects.

We can all make the world a better place if we work together! We can do it!!!!

St. Patrick"s Day Celebration

Here at AoFC we love to party and celebrate different cultures. For our St. Patrick's day celebration our older classes enjoyed a Leprechaun/Clover hunt and even made traps for the Leprechauns! Those Leprechauns were very sneaky and quick because they all escaped! We know they were here though because they left footprints all over the place and turned some of our food GREEN! Our friends also got to enjoy some special activities in the enrichment room today as well.

Ms. Sara helping with Sensory Play for Tod 3!

This little guy is loving sensory play and digging for treasure.

PK1 is on the hunt to find out where these Leprechaun footprints lead.
PK1 didn't catch the Leprechaun but they did find a note that he left and some GOLD!

Sensory Play is so much fun!

The Naughty Leprechaun left a mess in PS3!

Our green lunch was so yummy!

Need A Night Out???

Need a date night? New to town? Don't have a sitter? Don't fret AoFC is here! We host a Parent's Night Out quarterly from 6pm-10pm. We serve dinner, watch a movie, do crafts, and for our little ones ranging from Infants-2 they also have cots available to start their bedtime when sleepy. Our older friends bring in sleeping bags, and pillows from home and are able to rest in our enrichment room or relax and enjoy a movie.

Our friends enjoying watching Frozen and eating dinner

Our older toddlers enjoyed eating dinner with Ms. Heather and Ms. Jessica

Our young toddler friends playing with Ms. Emily and Ms. Daniela
They had a dance party, did a fun craft and read lots of stories!
Ms. Beverly had a great time playing with the infants
and reading them bedtime stories.

We made a special St. Patrick's Day craft to show our parents at pick-up!

Our friends playing in blocks and puzzles. So much teamwork!

Read Across America

This week was read across America week and we definitely got into the spirit!  We celebrated all week long with a Green Eggs & Ham breakfast, fancy sock day, a visit from the cat in the hat, grab and go snacks, and the amazing BOOK FAIR! We loved seeing all of the kids participate and have so much fun! Reading is such an important factor in promoting development within kids and we enjoy reading to them daily and getting to know their favorite stories and even watching the children read along & recall  the story before we finish reading to them!

Oh! The Places You'll Go!
