Waffles with Olaf and Elsa!

Academy of Forrest Crossing had our 1st Annual Waffles with Olaf and Elsa! They came all the way from Arendelle to see the kiddos at AoFC. They were welcomed with a delicious breakfast spread of eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, blue waffles, & "melted snowman" yogurt cups. Both Olaf and Elsa posed for pictures and Elsa even did some face painting! Many of our kids were sad to see them go and we can't wait for them to visit again!

Story Time With Infants

"Oh the places you'll go!" Stories take us around the word and back again and on oh so many adventures. Here at AoFC we all love story time, all the way from Infants to PreK, and although our infants can't talk back just yet they absolutely love story time. And of course there are so many benefits that come along with reading to our babies such as promoting listening skills, increasing vocabulary words heard, helping to understand the meaning of words, etc. Perhaps the most beautiful sight of all is watching their beautiful faces light up.

Handwriting Practice

Shaving cream is a great for practicing writing letters, numbers, and words! Our Pre-K Two friends enjoyed practicing their letters and numbers. Who doesn't love a little messy activity!?!

First everyone practiced writing their first letter of their names

They then got to practice writing their numbers

This sweet girl loved writing the letter "H"! Great job! 

This friend made a perfect letter "G"!

Some friends used just one finger to write their letters 

Others liked to use both hands! 

The best part is erasing! 

Practice makes perfect!

Brrr It's Cold Outside (Indoor Activities)

Winter is definitely here and we are most certainly feeling it! With temperatures dropping below freezing for the past weeks or so we have been stuck inside. Don't you worry though although we haven't been able to get outside we've been able to continue to implement large gross motor activities during our daily routines. 

Musical chairs is always hit! Do you recall playing this in school? I do!

Who didn't love being able to be Simon?

We love any type of movement, especially dancing. Freeze Dance is a favorite of ours!

Indoor obstacle course anyone? Count us in!

Indoor mazes! Grab a ball and move it through the maze!

Who doesn't love a good game of bowling?

We're going on a bear hunt! Better watch out!
