AOFC Holiday Dress up day

What do you get when you mash up, Halloween, Christmas and every holiday in between? The most fun dress up day in the middle of January ever! We had a little bit of Christmas, Halloween, the 4th of July, and even some Easter showing up at school on Wednesday from the kids to the teachers everyone got involved and there were festive Christmas sweaters and Halloween costumes plus leggings and light up necklaces just to name a few. AOFC loves dress up days !

Frozen week at AOFC

This has been an exciting week at AOFC full of snowflakes, special snowballs for breakfast,  Frozen dress up day , and finally the main event ice cream with the princess herself, Elsa!! Lots of  Annas, Elsa's, a Sven or two and even a couple of Olaf 's have been eagerly waiting for this day all week and it did not disappoint for sure. There were lots of questions leading up to Elsa's arrival like how was she getting here? Would there be any snow? Is she nice? Is Olaf coming?  Elsa came and answered all the questions, read a story and left in a flurry of snowflakes! Frozen fun was had by all!

Beautiful Elsa!

Sweet girl!

How to Beat the Winter Blues

Is the weather getting you down ?! Do have the winter time blues?! Well here at AOFC we are doing all kinds of different activities inside the classroom from reading books, painting, putting together awesome floor puzzles, drawing and practicing our balancing on a special line in classroom when the weather is too cold or dreary to go outside. Keeping our friends active and engaged all while having fun is the main goal especially in the winter months when the temps outside vary so much! While outside play is obviously important and necessary for growth it is not always possible and our teachers have done a great job coming up with exciting things in the classroom to do.  Winter won't last forever but in the meantime we are learning, laughing, drawing, painting, building, and balancing our winter blues away!

Playing with cozy animals!

Balancing on the floor line!

Just reading a couple of books!

Floor puzzles are so much fun!!

Reading books are definitely a favorite!

Drawing with markers helps beat the blues!

I love painting!!

Sleeping helps to keep the blues away!

Its Snow Week at Aofc

There is no business like "snow business" and we did a lot of snow business this week ending in some actual snow on Friday! In Enrichment there were giant snowflakes getting painted, snowball fights on the playground, a Snowman Soup grab and go, lots of snow decor and giving hugs to the favorite of all snowmen, Olaf!! Finally ending the week with real snow coming down in big puffy flakes that left us wishing for lots and lots more! We love SNOW!!

The makings of a huge snowflake in Enrichment!

Got to keep painting our snowflake!

Such a cute snowman!

I love our snowman deco!

Who knew you could have snowman soup?

Snowball fight anyone?!

Hugs from our favorite snowman, Olaf!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from AOFC ! This has been quite the year for our country, state and school and here's hoping that 2021 will be better all around! With the outgoing year, we have learned so much about how to be tolerate, kind and far more resiliant than we ever thought possible and our kids here at AOFC have played a large part in teaching us those things every single day. We asked some our Pre K 2 and Pre K 1 kids what they wanted to learn how to do in the new year and some of the things were out of this world like learning how to drive a jet car and others had a more down to earth answer like wanting to learn how to read. Whatever the resolution, 2021 is going to be the year to accomplish it so Good bye to 2020 and hello to learning to drive jet cars, put out fires, draw santa, making flowers, ride bikes, swim and read in 2021!! Cheers to the new year!

Learning to read is an awesome goal for the new year!

She wants to learn to put out fires!

I definitely want to know how this goes!

He is a little young to drive but that doesn't mean he can't dream!

He wants to learn to swim!

I want to learn how to make a dinosaur too!

Drawing Ms Angela his teacher is what this sweet boy wants to learn!

Tracing his hand is an important thing to learn!

This cool dude wants to learn how to ride a bike!!

I think Santa would be flattered that she wants to draw him!

Learning to draw flowers will be so fun to do!

Bless! She wants to learn to draw her family!

I want to learn about rainbows too!

Good bye forever 2020!!!
