SUPERHERO WEEK!

Superhero week was as always a definite hit here at AoFC! I mean, who doesn't love superheros? The eclipse on Monday had some strange effects on our kids here as they were able to grow Hulk Hands! They had a blast being able to "Hulk Smash" some of the buildings that they built with their blocks! Spider-man then  came by unbeknownst to us and left some of his sticky webs on the playground, which turned into a little obstacle course for the kiddos who loved getting to crawl through his webs. Then on Friday Spider-man came back and stuck around for a bit and hung out with everyone. We were all super excited that we got to see him this time and he says he'll be swinging back through our neighborhood soon!  We had so many superheros walking around here that we've felt extra safe all week long!

This Super Girl is busy exploring toys in Infant 3!

Baby bat girl to the rescue! How cute is she?

Ms. Alina and this cutie made a wonderful duo in Tod 2. Wonder-Woman and Spider Girl team up to save the day!

Holy puzzles there are two Batmans! I can't believe my eyes!

Even super girl needs to take a break. Who doesn't enjoy a good puzzle after fighting crime?

Suuuppper- Girlsss! Look at those beautiful smiles. I'd say they had a stress/crime free day!

Spider-man came by and left some webs on the PreK playground! We must have just missed him!

These PS3 kids figured out how to navigate through the webs! Could you?

Hhhmm... Did he know something about these webs beforehand? Or were his spidey senses just tingling?

Check out those Hulk Hands! Was this a side effect from the solar eclipse?

Hulk Smash! Be sure to check your hands for any gamma radiation!

PreK One loved getting to hang out with Spidey! Look out, here comes the Spider-Man!

Grins all the way from this beauty! We love putting smiles on our kids faces, and giving them great memories!

Can you tell that this little jewel loved Spidey? We sure can! I mean just look at that smile!

PreK 2 had a blast during their Spider-man visit! Check out their web poses!

Outdoor Play This Way

This week was all about Outdoor Play & Large Gross Motor activities! Movement is a sure way to get all the kiddos involved! Some times our friends at AoFC even help us come up with cool new ways to keep them moving. This week we participated in so many different movement activities such as the color hop, bubble party, slide painting and more. Exercising while having fun is the only way we know here at AoFC. Have a look at some of the activities we did below!

Hop, hop, hopping away! She sure looks as if she's enjoying the color hop. What do you think?

This preschool class came out into the hallway for a little more hopping room. I think they plan on hopping the day away!

These boys are waiting patiently for their go at the color hop. Wonder what their contemplating? Maybe who's going to hop the highest...

Check out this cool cat! He had so much fun with slide painting!

Ms. Daniela helps this cutie get ready for slide painting. Look at that ball go!

Look at that masterpiece. The toddlers did a great job with their slide painting!

This PreK kiddos enjoyed having a go at slide painting! They got to use different balls to see what type of pattern they left!

This little guy was zooming right through the color hop! Some of his friends showed him that his shirt matched one of the stops along the color hop!

This guy is taking some huge steps as he does the color hop! Will he finish faster by taking those big steps? I think he definitely did!

Some days we can't get outside and beat the heat. Ms. Jordan in Preschool One adds large gross motor movement to their morning welcome ritual. The kiddos get up when it's their turn to be welcomed!

Indoor bubble party anyone? I think these kiddos are pretty excited for their bubble dance party. Look at those smiles!

PS1 is winding down with some indoor yoga. Check out the star pose! I think they've almost got it down packed!

Nature Play

This week's Power of Play Theme was all about nature! Here at AOFC we're pretty lucky that we are able to observe nature daily through some of the doors (where the kids have a view of the trees) as well as our wrap around deck (where they kids are known to take a nature walk are two). This week we got to make nature sun catchers, wormeries, and a nature sticky wall. The kids loved getting into nature and having activities that revolved around nature. Because most kids love to get down and dirty!

These kiddos enjoying their view. Something's got their attention out there. Is it a bird?

These PreK friends brought nature to them. Who says nature has to stay outside?

PS1 is making womeries. Collecting some cool items from nature is always a fun activity!

PS2 also got in on the action and made a wormery Look at all those happy faces, I'd say they had fun!

PreK combined nature, reading and making letters. Now what is this little one's name?

Toddler 3 is having so much fun under the sun. They went on a nature walk and made nature sun catchers!

Look very closely and tell me what you see. PreK is using magnifying glasses to see the details within nature!

This little one decided to take a quick bike break to check out the nature around her! Dirt is a kids true best friend!

Check out these bugs in nature! PreK decided to add some bugs from their Science Center to their nature collection.

Preschool 3 is really taking their time making their wormery. Their also doing an awesome job with their teamwork.

PS3 got to see a groundhog. How awesome is that?

Check out this fun filled nature wall from PS3. The kids enjoyed being able to sick different leaves on it.

Don't be afraid to answer when nature calls! These kiddos definitely enjoyed their nature week!

PreK Graduation

Bittersweet will always be the word to describe this event for us. Kindergarten graduation came and we were not ready to say farewell to our kiddos. Graduation was a huge success equipped with a farewell slideshow, an adorable song presentation, awarding of certificates, and a graduate mingle afterwards. The graduates also got to  take home with them a graduate keepsake which held a photo of them and a handwritten note along with their swag bags! Good luck in Kindergarten graduates and be sure to come back by for a visit!

Welcome to PreK Graduation, Class of 2017!

Ms. Erica reading some opening remarks. Letting these wonderful families know how much they will be missed!

These graduates were waiting patiently for their song performance and the awarding of their certificates! Looks at those attentive faces!

The kids did an absolutely wonderful job on their graduation song. We sang "ABC you later"! They worked so hard on practicing and it definitely showed!

Ms. Tracey presenting one of the graduates their certificate. Smile BIG!

One more graduate off to kindergarten. We're truly going to miss these sweet kids!

Some light refreshments for our graduate mingle!

Check out these amazing photo keepsakes for the kids! Along with that the graduates got their own grad swag bag!

These swag bags were a huge hit!

It's a family affair! Posing with the photo booth props!

Graduate mingle is in full effect!

The parents loved being able to mingle before their kiddos go off to kindergarten!

Our graduates got some photo booth action in too! They also  loved using the "cool" props!
