Snowman Potato Prints - Taterly Awesome!

This month we sure have had so much FUN !!  Our students here at AOFC got to put their creative art skills to the test with this special Snowman Potato Prints activity! Each student got their own piece of a real potato that their teacher previously cut for them, along with a piece of paper, various paint colors, and they went to town! It was so fun listening to each child in each age group express themselves differently. Some made a ton of "little snowmen," a"snowman flower,"and even a "potato man!" It was clear by the end of it that this was Taterly-Awesome!!  Everyone got a chance to stamp, swirl, mold, and create their ideal snowman friend to join them on a winter day at school!

It is almost 2022 and 2021 was a year of new beginnings, new employees, new relationships and many other new things at AOFC. We learned a lot and welcomed in new employees and kiddos as well as said good bye to favorite teachers, kids, and parents in our school family. Everyone is looking forward to a new year with a fresh start to learn new things, stay healthy, form new relationships and most importantly have fun! Firework Countdown

We are almost to the New Year of 2022, can you believe it?! Here at AOFC, we are getting into the New Year Spirit by counting down the days! Today our classes are working on Fireworks. Each child is able to use their imagination, art domain skills, and creativity by creating their own version of a Firework Display! We got to see some rooms put to use various art mediums such as markers, crayons, painting, oil pastels, colored pencils, and so much more! Some tools that were manipulated for this awesome activity were forks, fingers, paintbrushes, and sponges. Happy almost New Year!

Santa visits AOFC

Christmas is in full swing here at AOFC! The tree is up, the stockings are hung, and we are decked out from head to toe in Christmas gear! Now we wait for the jolly old man in the big red suit to show up. He still has work to do at the North Pole but Santa made a stop here on Friday to check in with all the kids and get their final wishes for Christmas before the big day. We made sure to have lots of delicious treats for both Santa and the kids to enjoy while he was here! There were lots of smiles and looks of awe as the the jolly old man in the big red suit put each child on his lap or a high five and answered lots of questions about reindeer and elves as well as what what his favorite cookies are and if he likes chocolate milk or white milk better?! We can't wait for Christmas at AOFC !

Getting a yummy treat after seeing Santa!

Very serious conversation about what he wanted for Christmas!

Lots of love and smiles for Santa !
