March started with all kinds of fun St Patrick's day activities in preparation for all the Leprechaun tricks that certain classrooms would experience on that special day. Everything from a shiny gold sensory bin, shamrock necklaces and even a lucky snack made the week festive and ready for a visit from the tricky little leprechaun. There was even fun experiment using milk, food coloring and some dish soap, creating a rainbow reaction a perfect way to celebrate the month! AOFC love all the tricks and fun of St. Patrick's day and the month of March! Happy Spring!

Celebrating Black history month
We celebrated black history month in several of our classrooms by featuring, African-American men and women that have made significant contributions of art, engineering, science, space, and dance both in our world and our every day lives. The Pre school and Pre-K children learned about Mae Jemison, first African American female astronaut, Wilma Rudolph , African American female, Olympian and Garrett Morgan who invented the stoplight all amazing and inspiring men and women. Happy Black History month at AOFC!
