Earth day

 We love celebrating Earth day a AOFC and teaching the kids what it means to be kind to the world around us and re use things like water bottles giving them another purpose. The kids recently planted seeds in peat pots and they learned what plants need to grow, water, sun and air.  Celebrating Earth Day paves the way for important conversations on re using and recycling plastic bottles, cardboard boxes as well as many other everyday materials as well as getting the kids excited about recycling their own household items. Walking, riding bikes, and running are also good ways to cut down on the amount of pollution we are putting out.  Learning about our Earth and celebrating Earth Day is one of our kids favorite days as well as an important one! Don't forget to Re use and Recycle!

Easter Festivities at AOFC

 We had a great time celebrating all things Easter including an awesome Easter egg hunt, a visit from the Easter bunny and an Easter party with yummy cupcakes and special crafts! It was so fun seeing all the classes from Toddlers to Pre K hunt for eggs and get excited for the Easter bunny. Some friends couldn't wait to open eggs so they took a break to sit and open them right there and others were there for the hunt, filling their baskets to the brim! Lots of families joined us for all the festivities and a great time was had by all! Happy Easter!

Mother Goose

 Our kids at AOFC love a visit from Mother Goose and they look forward to her stories and songs that change with the season.  This visit there were songs about birds, bunnies, and even a little snake in the garden.  It is so fun to see all the smiles and giggles of excitement on their faces while Mother Goose leads them in silly songs and stories! Mother Goose is one of our favorite guests and we can wait for her next visit!

Bike day at AOFC

 Bike day at AOFC is one of our absolute favorite days for both the kids and the teachers as every kind of bike, trike, scooter and riding toy makes its debut. The kids get to put on their super cool helmets and ride like the wind around the special bike day "track" that is made especially for the day. With hair flying, tires rolling and tongues out, bike day was underway! The best part, seeing all the smiling happy faces and hearing all the kind words admiring each others bikes as well as watching friends help each other pedal or encourage them to keep going! We love bike day at AOFC!

Week of amazing activities at AOFC

 We have had such a great week at AOFC with variety of activities such as make your own pin wheels, a rainbow explosion experiment, shaving cream sensory tables which every classroom did differently and the most importantly it was hands on which is fun but a learning experience as well! Having a variety of activities that include sensory, manipulatives, and science just to name a few keeps kids brains, bodies and minds constantly learning and growing.
