This past week we had a visit from a Pediatric Dentist who taught us all about how to care for our teeth. Preschool age is when kiddos start brushing teeth more frequently, and some even begin doing it all on their own so this visit each year is especially welcomed! They did a great job teaching us how to make good choices when eating and we even got to volunteer and help them out. Our kiddos were so excited getting to go up on stage in from of their peers and be cheered on :) We learned what foods stick to our teeth and which ones don't and are better for us to eat. One of our younger volunteers was able to use a big toothbrush to brush candy and other sticky foods off of our "teeth" volunteers, then got to use a giant piece of rope to demonstrate flossing!! We also got to read a book about Snappy the Crocodile who showed us just what to do when brushing our teeth. After the book was done and the demonstration of brushing teeth was completed, all of our classrooms were able to take a picture with Snappy! Our kiddos were so excited to have the opportunity to hold the crocodile and get a good glimpse of his pearly whites! We loved having them here and even got goody bags with toothbrushes, stickers, and other goodies to take home with us! Thanks so much for visiting!
