Fantactic Friday!

It sure has been a FANTASTIC FRIDAY here at The Academy of Forrest Crossing. Our theme this month is "animals" so in honor of that, we had Kangaroo Hop Bounce Day. To make this day extra special we broke out the bounce house! Everyone LOVES bounce house day!! The kiddos have loved getting to work those muscles and get some extra gross motor time in while hopping like a kangaroo! The fun doesn't stop there though. During the Easter holiday, we had a contest to see which classroom could raise the most eggs during our egg raiser (parent's donated the eggs), the Pre K Two classroom raised over 400 eggs!! They won the egg raiser contest and earned a popsicle party!! The kiddos are so very excited to enjoy this fun treat! Every day at AOFC is fanatics, but this Friday in particular, was a little extra fantastic! Check out these kiddos enjoying their Friday!

2,181 Easter Eggs!!!

Two Thousand One Hundred and Eighty ONE easter eggs!! Can you believe it!? Thats how many eggs were donated in our egg raiser. Our AWESOME parents all donated stuffed eggs for our hunt this year and WOW there was definitely not a shortage of eggs at all!! THANK YOU PARENTS!!! The kiddos loved getting to hunt for their eggs and fill their baskets. The eggs were filled with fun surprises like stickers and little toy dinosaurs! These were a huge hit and there were so many creative eggs to find! Eggs with sparkles and eggs that light up, even eggs that has silly faces on them! This was certainly a jam-packed, fun-filled egg hunt- maybe even our BEST YET!! We cannot wait for next years Easter festivities. WE hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Eggcelent Easter Party

This year sure has flown by!! Wasn't it just new year and now we're celebrating EASTER!!! We are having so much fun celebrating this upcoming holiday. The Easter bunny made his big debut recently and boy did we have fun! Aside from having our giant, cuddly friend, we also had fun crafts and yummy food! The tissue collage egg craft was a huge hit along with some fun coloring pages. The food was delicious as ever! We had yummy egg shaped cookies, adorable Peeps on a stick, organic cheddar bunnies and bunny bait (carrot sticks and ranch). The kiddos had so much fun hanging out with their friends and families, and the bunny of course! We love the holidays we celebrate here at AOFC and are so excited to celebrate all throughout the year with our wonderful families!

Mother Goose has come again!

One of our favorite visitors came to town recently and we could not be more excited! Mother Goose always brings a fun and exciting show to help entertain and educate the kiddos (and teachers!) This time around, she introduced a whole new adventure- never seen before! We talked about birds and bunnies, kites, the rain, rainbows and umbrella! You can imagine how fun and silly those songs were!  A Mother Goose Show would not be complete without fun props and new friends to help her out. We saw a sweet little bunny, and a pretty red bird. She also brought out fun pink flowers! Mother Goose taught us all about how birds fly and how bunnies hop around. We learned about why the rain is helpful and that an umbrella will help to keep us dry! She also taught us about how after a long, wet rain show, a beautiful rainbow makes its appearance. What a sight to see!! We LOVE Mother Goose and cannot wait for her to come back and teach us more fun things! Thank you Mother Goose!
