Easter Week 2020 :)

This week here at AOFC was a really, really wonderful one! There was a lot of cheer, smiles, hugs, and a whole lotta love flowing throughout the building. With Easter being this weekend, we made the whole week filled with fun activities! We had classrooms outside on the playground each day showing off their chalk skills by drawing bunnies, carrots, eggs, and the cutest ever was all of them playing HOPscotch! The kiddos each got to color their very own slap bracelets this week which was a huge hit! They absolutely love those fun little bracelets. We had an Easter egg craft in which they got to assemble their own Easter egg with different little shapes, designs, and colors and then place s magnet on the back to put on their refrigerators at home :) Another super cute refrigerator craft was a picture frame that was blank, and they were able to put together the different pieces of a bunny on it! We also had our annual Easter egg hunt this week! We placed eggs all over each classrooms playground filled with stickers, little toys, tattoos and other fun trinkets! During each rooms outside time the kiddos were on the hunt for all of the eggs! This is always so cute and so much fun to watch. Of course the best part of the week was our visit from the Easter bunny himself! We had a very sweet sweet looking bunny (thankfully!) sitting in a big blue chair in our enrichment room, and our teachers brought out the children one by one to visit with him and take a picture! For the most part, our kiddos loved it! We wanted each child to have a picture to place into their adorable little Easter frames so those who were not the biggest fan of Mr. Easter bunny posed with different props! These frames turned out so cute and our families really loved them, so we will definitely be doing this craft again next year! We sent all of our kiddos home with different colors of chalk on Thursday so that they could all “Chalk the Walk” at home this weekend! We were very thankful for a week full of sunshine and lots of laughter. We hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend and lots of fun spending time with one another! To all of our families who are staying home at this time, we miss and love you! Happy Easter to all!

We Love You!

Academy families,

You matter, and we miss you.

There are a million different reasons as to why being a preschool teacher is one of the most rewarding jobs to exist, like the fact that we get to build these incredible, personal relationships with so many different families and children, but one of the biggest reasons is the impact that these little's have on our lives. The lessons they teach us without even knowing, the smiles, laughter, and many hugs we give out and receive. Anything that is going on in the outside world disappears as soon as you see the faces of those children that you love so much. Parents are always telling us that it is us who make the impact, but we know that it is their children who make our job less of a "job" and much more of an honor. Knowing that each of us is making a difference.... makes a difference. While we are experiencing some very difficult, confusing, and quite frankly flat-out sad times in our world right now, we hold steadfast the truth: "this too shall pass." Since our school opened four years ago, we have witnessed and taken part in so many incredible experiences. We have the most outstanding, loving, and caring teachers and the greatest families in the world! In four years we have filled these walls up with SO much beautiful noise. We are ready for these halls to be filled with all of those familiar faces running to give us our daily hugs and for us to squeeze them right back. We are grateful to work with the most innocent little humans who can turn everything around by simply giving you a hug! :) We want to thank all of you from the bottoms of our hearts for going on this journey with us, no matter when it was, or for how long. We would not be Forrest Crossing without each and every one of you. Below are some pictures of Friday, March 27th, which was sunniest, warmest, most magical day! We hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and happy during this time! We love you all! :)

Love,
Your teacher, friend, and family.
