All things Valentines

 We welcomed in the month of February with so many activities like a Valentine dress up day,   a sweetheart dance where you could make your Valentine a homemade valentine as well as the long awaited Valentine exchange in each classroom complete with treats and lots of love.   We will end February learning about Mae Jemison, the first African American Astronaut, some heart crowns and a frozen heart activity.   We love February as well as all the special activities that we have done and are yet to do at AOFC!

End of January fun

 Despite the cold temps we got to see off the last two weeks of Jan with a visit from our frozen snowman, Olaf as well as an adopt a penguin grab n go both of which love cold weather!  Olaf visited each classroom as well as gave out hugs and high fives before he went out to enjoy what was left of his favorite thing, snow!   Along with our friend Olaf, we had a penguin adoption so each child could name and take home a tiny furry cold weather friend.   We loved all the fun activities and special things we got to do the month of January and we can't wait to see what February brings!

January activities and fun

 In can be cold and dreary in January with not much time outdoors and sometimes its hard to think of new and fun activities to do but no worries because at AOFC it is quite the opposite!  We have been indoor ice skating, snow ball fights indoors and out,  ice cube building,  stem with marshmallows as well as several other fun things planned.  No boring January's here at AOFC and we can't wait to show you our next round of fun.

Ice Skating

 Did you know that at AOFC we have some future Ice Skating Pros on our hands?!  There were lots of new skating moves being invented and perfected at our indoor ice rink.  You could try out some skates ( paper plates) or take a break in the special resting area, whichever one was chosen was pure entertainment  We can't wait to see what the future holds for the potential pros but a fun day of skating was had by all at the AOFC ice rink !
