We love our Teachers week!

 The week of Valentines was a very special week at AOFC where we not only celebrated love but we celebrated our incredible teachers and all they do for our school each and every day.  There were special lunches, treats delivered to classroom, love notes from their students and most of all lots of love and hugs for everyone especially the teachers!  Our school would not be the place that it is without the love and creativity that the teachers pour into their classrooms and students! We love our teachers at AOFC!

February kick- off

It's February and while that may include Groundhogs, Hearts, and Valentines there is lots of learning that goes on as well.    Each classroom got the opportunity to eat lunch with Chopsticks,  there will be a Valentine Freeze dance and several sensory activities just this week and we will round out the month with plenty more Valentine related celebrations, activities, and Grab n' Go's.  Then to help us round out both Black History month and February we will learn about Garrett Morgan who invented the stoplight.  AOFC learns and loves the month of February!

The Great Snowman Build off

 At AOFC in these cold temperatures it is only fitting to have a Snowman build off with whatever materials or form of Snowman that you chose and we had quite the selection from a T-rex snowman to a snowman made of yarn and even a picture of a Snowman built to be a fireman from the recent Snowy weather we just had!  We love seeing all the entries and the sweet families plus kiddos who ran to visit the special Snowmen each night!! AOFC is so lucky to have so many creative and amazing families!

Playground Snowball Fight

 We had an Epic snowball fight on the playground this week to help us ring in the impending snowy weather.  Even the Toddlers got in on the action throwing snowballs through the fence to the big kids who would then throw them back! Fun was had by all and new found skills throwing snowballs will likely get put to good use in these few weeks! We love snow and snowballs at AOFC!
